Playlists for Practice

For me, music activates a state of flow. When the beat is just right, my mind, body, and breath sync up and I feel connected to myself and the room in a powerful way.

One of my favorite parts of preparing a class is making a playlist that matches the mood and vibe so my students can experience a state of presence and connection.

Below you’ll find playlists I’ve created for different flows and intentions, along with the energy I had in mind when shaping them.

Whether you joined me in class or you’re practicing at home, I hope these playlists help you feel grounded, present, and connected no matter where you are.

  • Vibe
Candlelight flow: grounding, intentional, steady, reflective

    Class Intention
    Practicing self-trust, releasing doubt

    Peak Pose / Focus
    Utthan Pristhasana (Lizard Lunge)

    Notes
During the first few weeks of teaching Candlelight Yoga, I realized how hard it was for me to fully trust myself. I made this playlist for exactly what I needed then: a space to breathe, to soften, and to practice self-trust.

  • Vibe
Candlelight flow: heart opening, grounded, warm, expressive

    Class Intention
    Practicing gratitude

    Peak Pose / Focus
Lizard Variation with top arm reaching back

    Notes
I taught this class the Monday before Thanksgiving. This week tends to move fast, so before the holiday energy swept everyone up, I wanted to create a space where we could slow down, feel our breath, and ground in gratitude.
